We are happy to supply the yarn for the hats or if you want to donate both yarn, hats and scarves that works too! Our dedicated group of Yarn Artists is currently located in Missouri, Illinois and Indiana. If you want to send us handcrafted items and can’t afford the postage, just call and we will send you the funds!

AGTA is making hats for Preemies, Newborns, Babies, Toddlers, Children, and Adults. The project primarily focuses on Beanies and Slouch Hats but we are open to other styles is you want to be creative. Bows, flowers, butterflies, pompoms and buttons make fun additions. There are numerous free hat and scarf patterns on the internet. We suggest www.allfreecrochet.com and www.allfreeknitting.com to get you started. Should you need help in locating a pattern that works for you, please contact us.

Whether you are crocheting or knitting a hat the sizing is important. The size is based upon the circumference on the head and the length of the hat. There are several sizing guides on the Internet that give dimensions for Preemies to Adults. We are happy to help you in this area.
